Antonio Gramsci's Political Philosophy on Culture
Keywords:

As the "Archimedean point" of Gramsci's theoretical framework, the concept of "cultural hegemony" has deep roots in Italy's local philosophical stance and Marxist class consciousness and hegemony theories. To find the "breakthrough point" of the hidden power in capitalist political society and to prescribe a "remedy" for the proletariat's cultural and moral revolutionary movement, Gramsci considered civil society, organic intellectuals, and "war of position" as the essence of cultural hegemony. Cultural hegemony, as a form of ideological power, is closely linked to maintaining the legitimacy of political rule. Gramsci's revelation not only updates the analytical tools for contemporary Western ideological exploration and cultural critique of capitalist society but also builds a theoretical foundation for highlighting the unique charm and confidence of socialist culture and ideology.
