This article examines the influence of gender-role identity on adolescents’ self-attitude. It emphasizes the crucial role of gender-role identity in the process of socialization. The study reveals that, between the ages of 11 and 13, gender differences in behavior and interests become more pronounced, and adolescents show increased interest in cross-gender interactions. It was found that the androgynous factor dominates in both boys and girls, indicating a combination of traditionally masculine and feminine traits in a single individual. The study also shows that adolescents often express their gender identity indirectly—through behavioral roles. The results confirm that gender-role identity significantly affects self-esteem, self-attitude, and the formation of social roles, shaping the quality of interpersonal relationships and overall personal development during adolescence.
