The role of innovation in public management in selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The aim of the lecture will be to present the importance of innovation in public management and to compare its level of advancement in three Central and Eastern European countries, namely Poland, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania. Three types of innovation will be correlated: organizational, process, and product innovation in terms of their level of implementation and effectiveness. First and foremost, it will examine whether the public administration in a given country supports innovation, allocates specific financial resources for this purpose, and at what pace it is transforming in this area. What are the programs supporting innovation, who benefits from them, and under what conditions? Do innovations result from internal inspiration or from the transfer of knowledge and technology?
The role of innovation in public management is crucial and affects the effectiveness of an organization's functioning.
