AIPPS model is a help tour to the management of violent behavior, independent of being victim or perpetrator and indipendente of gender, using fencing as prevention and re-education instrument. Through the rules of fencing, supported by an important component of therapeutic analysis of fencing action, an interpretation of defense mechanisms of the subject is carried out helping to develop awareness of reading the other. The goal of the model is to learn to understand the mechanisms acted instinctively and a develop effective management of the same mechanisms without forgetting to borrow them from the opponent’s responses. The psychological reading of the fencing bout opens the dialogue to the structuring of new coping strategies applicable to daily life. An important project in terms of re-education was carried out at “BECCARIA”, a juvenile detention center in Milan, at the beginning of the 2000s, while a prevention project was created recently in middle schools in the Milanese suburbs during school hours as a prevention of bullying involving both students and teachers.
