Utilization of technological apparatus provides a rich and expansive context conducive to deliberate and incidental vocabulary acquisition. Online Mobile Dictionaries (OMDs), as exemplified, serve as facilitators in comprehending and generating vocabulary, concurrently augmenting awareness pertaining to its etymological origins and contextual utilization. The primary objective of this investigation revolves around discerning the impact wielded by OMDs in the facilitation of vocabulary acquisition. In pursuit of this objective, experimental and control cohorts were assembled, and pre/post-assessments were administered. Furthermore, a comprehensive survey was conducted to delve into students’ perceptions concerning the integration of OMDs within the realm of language instruction. The findings derived from this research substantiate the proposition of incorporating OMDs into language pedagogy. These technological tools augment learners’ comprehension of lexical derivations and inflections, and in tandem, they contribute to the amelioration of pronunciation proficiency. To consolidate the acquisition of vocabulary, it is also recommended to employ semantic mapping in conjunction with OMDs, thereby fostering autonomous learning experiences through the utilization of “Blended-Learning” platforms.
