Teaching Material for French Listening Comprehension at A1 Level Using Virtual Reality (VR) Based on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

This study explores the development of teaching materials for A1-level French listening skills using virtual reality (VR) technology enhanced by artificial intelligence (AI). This joint study, conducted by Universitas Negeri Jakarta and Universitas Negeri Medan, explores the development of virtual reality (VR)-based learning materials to improve A1-level French listening skills, particularly in distance learning scenarios.
The research method is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and listening proficiency tests before and after the use of teaching materials. Data analysis used a mixed methods approach to measure effectiveness and user experience. TKT (Technology Readiness Level) 6 will be tested at Universitas Negeri Jakarta and Universitas Negeri Medan as an innovative solution for improving French A1 listening skills and developing language learning technology.
