Abstract

This study explores the impact of student-centered approaches supported by educational technology and blended learning on student engagement and motivation. As AI and digital tools become increasingly integrated into educational settings, the roles of both teachers and students are undergoing significant transformation. Drawing on recent empirical studies, this literature review highlights how learner-centered approaches, when combined with online and blended learning methods, foster greater autonomy, engagement, and cognitive development. While technology provides new opportunities for personalized and flexible learning, findings emphasize that the role of the teacher remains crucial. The review also identifies the importance of collaboration, peer interaction, and emotional support in digital learning contexts. This study underscores the need for educational practices that balance technological innovation with human connection, aiming to create inclusive, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences in the age of AI.
