The Relationship Between Eating Behavior and Anxiety in Women

Anxiety disorders are a topic that is frequently discussed in specialized literature. Changes in eating habits are some symptoms of anxiety, and self-worth and societal body perceptions may contribute to high and low eating behavior. Several age demographics would need to be considered in order to fully comprehend anxiety and eating behavior in women. Adolescent women, teenagers, and their desire to resemble TV characters are major causes of eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. To understand current events, we must comprehend the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on the age groups mentioned before, and how anxiety affects eating behaviors. It was found that eating behavior did not impact anxiety symptoms during the COVID-19 pandemic. Other factors like smoking, living in a specific country, and unplanned pregnancies had greater impacts. This review discussed the relationship between eating behavior and anxiety in women and discussed the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on women's anxiety symptoms. The connection between anxiety and eating behavior in women is a topic that needs more research.
