Abstract

Mizo society is governed by rigid patriarchal structure. In tracing from the history of Mizos, there are unheard voices of resistance and voices which have varying stories and narratives. This paper studies some of the voices that go unheard. It also tries to tackle the issue of the relationship of individual and society, where women are regarded as over-empowered. It also states the fact that patriarchy transcends sex. This paper attempts to present the idea of Indian Feminism with reference to the socio condition of Mizo women from the history and literature of the Mizos.
